Crews tend to water main break

STURBRIDGE — A broken water main left parts of the town without water Saturday.

The break was discovered about noon at Whittemore and Willard roads, police said.

The cause of the break was unavailable Saturday night.

Police said the break was affecting parts of town from Main Street south to the Southbridge line and Route 20 East to the Charlton line, police said.

Officials from the town and Veolia North America, which operates Sturbridge water facilities, were still working to repair the break as of early evening Saturday.
