Draft:Perception Records (United States, 2020–present)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Perception Records is an independent, multi-genre record label headquartered in Denver, Colorado, with a second facility in Los Angeles, California.[1][2] The label was founded by multi-instrumentalist and producer Jake “Jay.Greens” Leventhal[3] and a group of artists and producers. It is not affiliated with the defunct 1970s label of the same name (For the 1970s label, see [Perception Records (defunct label)].

History and Overview

[edit]

Perception Records was established to provide infrastructure and creative support to both emerging and established artists. Its headquarters are located in Denver's River North Arts District (RiNo), and in 2025, the label expanded its operations with the opening of Green Room Studios, a recording and production facility based in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The label offers a wide range of artist services, including global publishing administration, sync licensing, playlist pitching, content creation, and social media development. Perception Records also maintains a network of in-house producers, engineers, musicians, and songwriters to support creative production.

In addition to its core label operations, Perception Records launched a Label Services division, offering professional support to independent artists in the media and recording space.[4]

Mental Health Initiative

[edit]

In 2024, Perception Records partnered with Amber Health , a provider of mental health services tailored to music industry professionals. The initiative gives label-affiliated artists and staff access to therapy and wellness programs designed to address the challenges specific to creative professionals.
