Josuke has a hard time accepting the fact that the old geezer known as Joseph Joestar is his father. Obviously it'd feel weird to start calling him dad since they met not too long ago. But apart from that, Josuke feels that this old timer is incredibly clumsy, stupid and whatnot which makes it even more difficult to accept him.

Invisible baby time lol. We get Joseph's "Oh My God" again. Simply love that. Lol Joseph was touching the baby girl in inappropriate places which pissed off Josuke. Lol Joseph bought everything since the world has progressed to the point where there are a billion kinds of feeders and diapers come in numerous sizes and the nipples for the feeders are in who knows how many shapes now. Poor Josuke lost all his money because the old timer is too old lol. That makeup though. It made the baby look scary. The stress caused the baby to turn even the ground invisible. The baby has a very cool stand and ability. Has many ways it can be used in.

5/5 for the "oh my god!!!". I honestly though Joseph had a new voice actor until then. Or maybe they just used the old one for that part alone?

This episode was hilarious though. I enjoy how there's so much more comedic slife of life elements in DiU than in the previous parts.

The chapters in the manga were pretty forgettable in the grand scheme of things but revisiting them in anime form made me appreciate these little moments. I liked this episode for the comedy, the "oh my god" and the touching father-son dynamics between Josuke and Joseph. I thought it was pretty realistic how Josuke felt towards this man who is his father yet a completely stranger to him at the same time.

Is that baby important or was it just a one off character to lessen the tension between Joseph and Josuke?

These Joseph scenes pain me so much. At the very least he still showed something he'd do back when he was at his best, cutting himself to find the baby.

The Invisible Baby. It was funny and entertaining, even if it did not reach the italian restaurant level. I hope there will still be such encounters when the story will kick in again.
On the other hand, the constant "He should have been here for mom" rings so bad: this guy had another (official) family too.

5/5

The rounder style makes the previous characters look really strange like they didn't age the right way. Joseph's face is just rounder than before, nothing else. More could have been made to make him look older.

That escalated real quick. Went from having fun in the park to cutting wrist ten minutes later. Seeing him buy all that stuff, get a guy to panic in a store and he'll just buy whatever.

This episode kind of feels out of place, compared to all the previous episodes. I suppose it's build-up for some big reveal next episode?
Or perhaps it's just a breather episode where Joestar and Josuke have some bonding time together.

Either way, I'm kinda not looking forward to a new OP/ED next week. Hopefully they're as awesome as the current ones!

A quite slow episode to wait for the next big arc but still Joseph is back and unchanged.
I was missing the "Oh my god!"
Now, I'm really hyped for the next episode cause there will be new OP and ED and of course "this character".

We should all prepare ourselves for best character next week.

Ep 13: Baby Products

Amazing variety of baby goods, important stuff for the baby.
And remember not to let the salesman swindle you by overwhelming you with info and fake concern.

Jeez, it's kinda sad seeing an Old Joseph turning senile. I kept hoping that it was all an act or something and he'd spring back to his energetic, crazy old (err.. young) self. Although I suppose that's not gonna happen, is it?

Actually, I think it's mentioned in the manga that he got better later on. Maybe something about Crazy Diamond curing his wounds or maybe just the fact that he had to start taking care of a little child rejuvenated him a little.

Or he also ate at Trattoria Trussardi.

I can't believe I heard Joseph say he loves Japanese coffee. i must have some hearing problems.
His 'Oh My God' never fails to amuse me. I really thought he's gonna say it's a boy. Joseph, you nasty old man.
Lmao Josuke's reason why he cannot buy the baby goods himself.
Damn that store clerk. Even I'm probably gonna get confused by so many choices, let alone an old man.
They kept saying the baby looks cute (which I agree), but I just found it weird with the make-up and hilarious at the same time.
Anyway, nice to see some father-son relationship developments.

So do they find the invisible baby's mother? If not, would she continue being invisible or would she stop now she's in the presence of the people that rescued her?

Seeing Joseph still being able to use Hermit Purple and sacrifice himself just to save the invisible Stand user shows that he's still the Joseph we know and love despite being so old now. I missed his OH MY GOD so much ;~;

Good thing Josuke got some newfound respect for his father, but I pity his credit card lol. I would've never expected to know so much about baby products xD

A fun, more light-hearted episode. Some nice interactions.

It does pain me to see Joseph Joestar a useless and frail old man, since he's always been such a badass. I knew he's end up spending too much. Still, he did do a cool thing so I respect that.

It cut to the JoJos back home, so I guess they skipped past Joesph reuniting with his estranged lover (no idea how far their relationship went). Fair enough. Idk what happened with Suzi Q btw - did they divorce when he did this? Before or after?

Great episode! If only Josuke had seen Joseph in his young days and the amount of sacrifice and people he had saved back then. He would definitely accept him more as his father.

So the baby is just a side story? Nothing too important for the future eh?

Can't wait for the next episode!!

wait, is invisi-baby gonna be a regular for now? and why am i getting the feeling that her mother's probably dead...
funny episode, but it was a bit hard to watch Joseph being as infirm as he is right now. also, change the ED dudes! i get why you're not changing the OP, there are still a lot more shadowed characters than the ones we've seen upto now, but the ED has become completely redundant! keep the song if you want, it's good, but change the video already, there's nothing new in there.

I kind of felt bad for Joseph for some of the moments in this episode. I'm think people might have said this before, but I expected Josuke would have freaked out earlier in the episode right after Joseph went out of the store selling items for babies. But he did it right at the end. Also, Joseph seems to switch to his part 3 voice at times. He's also pretty rich, so I think that he will (and should) repay Josuke soon. That, or the Speedwagon Foundation might do it (or not, since I think a baby is too minor for the foundation to take interest, I guess).

Oh boy, what a bizarre adventure it was! xD

Aww, that moments with Josuke taking care of his father are really hearwarming. :) On the other hand, I'm not surprised Josuke is a bit reserved towards Joseph. It was sad to see Joseph disappointed when Josuke pointed out he won't be calling him as "Dad", but we must understand Josuke's feelings. He has just met a man who is his father and at the same time didn't know about the existence of his son for all those years; what's more, Josuke wants to protect his mother from being destroyed by tsunami of emotions after seeing old love that she wanted to see through all these years. Later, when they found that invisible baby, Josuke's emotions started to go out and he felt sadness and reproach towards Joseph for abandoning his mother 16 years ago, so it proves that he was not hating Joseph, but in fact being sad that he had to live without father for all those years.

Joseph shouted "OH MY GOD!" and later returned with all his might (and Hermit Purple ;) ) to catch that invisible Stand. We really need to tip our hats to Unshō Ishizuka (Rest in Peace :( )for his voice acting skills. He could portrait perfectly old Joseph, then instantly turn into still old, but more vivid Joseph, and then return to old Joseph but aroused because of new discovery.
His ideas were also so much Joseph-like. :D

That guy in a store with products for kids was either a good trickster or advanced businessman. To show that many variants of products and use them to bombard the mind of a client who looked lost in the shop in order to encourage this costumer to buy as many things as it was possible.

In the end, everything ended well and Josuke seems to be okay with Joseph who saved the day. What I didn't like is Josuke's reaction when Joseph saved the baby from that cigarette. I understand Josuke was angry and all, but Joseph did not intend to push the trolley. What's more, this kid would've go full power anyway after being shocked with hot cigarette butt touching her skin. Sure, Joseph made it worse by pushing the trolley, but he couldn't know that this kid would end up in a lake.

Oh, and Okuyasu again showed his connoisseur-related traits. xD
