That's funny because I think you're the first to complain about that and you're totally right. It's a bug in 0.160, there is no sound (except those from the animations). It will be fixed in next version but for now you can have sounds if you unpack rpa files.

What game are you playing? The update got released on April 12th, 10 days ago. Which also included the Diner scene you're talking about. There was no release in March.
In January(I believe) when he said that he had found several highly skilled artists for his project(animations), he's also mentioned how one of them could possibly help with scene creation in the future. Now, we all know that this entire statement was complete bullshit, so none of this is happening anyways.

OK, I see that we agree on the reduction on storylines / branches albeit phrased differently (character reduction vs. leaving the characters for passive roles, voyeurism). This would greatly help.
Years ago I posted a workable idea of a reasonably thought through scenario, (IMO), along similar lines. I included variations, characters etc. Sometime later I suggested it again. This was back when the VN had more possibilities than it does now, or so it seems with hindsight. It's certain that L&P reads this thread sometimes but what he thinks about ideas & suggestions, we'll never know. It went the way of all comments from pirates.....
I would love to know what they're saying. We know from previous postings here, that there has been some criticism. My guess is that this will quickly disappear, (either in the fullness of time, or via censorship) & that the upsurge in Patrons will appear to justify the Dev in his current practices. Only the opinions of Patrons stand any chance of influencing these but from what's gone before, I'm not expecting change.

I would think a scene with one of these characters would be wonderful. The silence during the playthrough did feel odd, especially the slap she gave André made me ask why there was no sound. But then I got... ehm distracted by the story and I never came back to check about the sound.

Not so much. The intro music is properly called in code. Other sounds/musics are called in an "old way" (L&P's habits). I had implemented a trick to make the old and new call to cohabit but in the end, it doesn't work with rpa
